Default corvette resource map

I've started a google map with pins for corvette related items such as mechanics, salvage yards, cruise ins etc. It is public and open for editing, feel free to add any local information that you think would be beneficial for others searching for parts, car shows, swap meets, mechanics. Hopefully enough people will add information that it can take on a life of its own and become a useful resource.

I like it. It would be very useful if we were all pinned and someone had trouble while on the road and needed some help.

OK, I added myself to the map. The only way I see to add pins is to type in the address or location in the search bar, then a pin will show up on the map. Click the pin, select save to my maps, then you can choose an icon and add a description.

Not sure if you need to be logged into google or not, I created an account for myself last night, all you need is an email address and create a password.

I will have to look at this further when I get home. Not enough time to figure it out right now. I like the idea. should be very helpful.

I just added a few places that I go to in CA.

You have to be more persistent with this and ask more folks to contribute. This is a great idea and an asset to folks who are looking for parts.

Maybe you should ask a moderator to see if they can make it a sticky. Or ask the vendors to post themselves on this map.

Good luck

As the originator or owner, or whatever you should have the ability to do some screening...or can people add comments to a dropped pin?

I am talking about the first place listed in particular.

Ron Rail,

Just click the link to the map, type in your address, or if you don't want people to have your exact address, pick a place close by and google will put a pin at the location you entered.

From there, you just click on the pin and select save location, then follow the steps to enter in any info you want displayed and you can change the icon to whatever makes sense to you.

Found some instructions from google on adding pins, you might need to create a google account first, I'm not sure if you need it or not.
