Has anyone tried to get help from VBP tech???.. I've sent 2 emails for some help, and haven't received anything. Do they even want to help customers with there questions....
Awhile back I had a question regarding my VP&B rear spring; to make the car level side to side, the the nut on the left bolt had to be up about 2" up from the end while the nut on the right bolt was at the end. I emailed my question along with pictures. About a week later I received a detailed, hand printed, answer in a pdf file via email. Their advice was right on.
They could be swamped, but they will reply to your questions.
A couple of bits of added information they included: The spring serial number is written in white paint on the spring, which gives them the date the spring was manufactured. Also, mine had 340 written in white paint. That is the actual rate of the spring (330 pound) when they tested it.

Do you mind me asking what advice they gave on how to fix it ?
I understand they could be swamped. But I haven't had any ackowledgement that they got my email, I sent it twice. It's been 2wks, and the car is still sitting with out the rear spring in it. It would be nice to drive it this summer, instead of working on it, like the past six months.....

What is the problem ? Are you unsure as to how to mount the spring or torque specs or ?

Roger, PM your email address and I'll send the file to you, it is just under 500KB.
Basically, they said to 1) check for compressed body mounts - my '69 had hard mounts so that doesn't apply. 2) Make sure both front coils are seated all the way to the tips, in the pockets in the lower control arms. 3) Try removing the rear spring and reinstall it 180°, tip for tip. 4) Make sure the center mount of the rear spring is positioned in the middle of the spring, and not glued on somehow off to one side a little.
They also talked about fiberglass spring failure, that it is usually obvious like de-lamination between layers or splinters showing. And then they talked about the best shocks to use with a fiberglass spring, which they sell of course.
Hootisit: Give them a call and ask for the tech dept. That's what I did after waiting a week for a reply, and he said it should be in your in basket. I downloaded my email and sure enough, there it was. He stayed on the line while I read the reply and answered a couple of questions I had from reading it.
