rearend problem????

rearend problem????
I have a 73 vette I finally finished putting together last week. The car was basically a basket-case when I got it. I took it for a ride and everthing seemed fine. I went about 5 miles and stopped for fuel. When I pulled out I felt something in the back of the car thumping. I took it easy and brought it up tp speed, it felt fine, no vibration, niose, etc. I pulled into my drive way and when I gave it a liittle gas I felt it again. It has new u-joints in the drive shaft and half shafts. It feels like it's in the left rear wheel. I don't think it the wheel bearing because I don't feel or hear anything at speed. This only happens when I'm starting out.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The posi cones will groan during turns if you don't have GM Positraction Additive in with the 80 weight gear oil.
