MPC made a '77 in 1/20 scale, all plastic kit. Kit is very good for display and is a good size. The only promo I ever saw was an AMT, silver in color inside and out, not very prototypical, 1/25 scale. The MPC kit is the way to go if you want to match your car exactly.

Actually, MPC made a 1/25th scale in 1977... I just remembered I had a brand new one I hadn't built yet!!!

IMHO the MPC kits have much better chassis detail. Among other things, they feature poseable front wheels & separate working half shafts. The MPC 77s were also the last C3s to have the best version of the YJ8(?) alloy wheel. (Open slots vs the solid turd they created for the 78-82s.)
If you have an L82, you'll probably need to do some kit-bashing or modifying as the air cleaner assembly is a single snorkel unit and the valve covers (IIRC) are either plain steel factory units or 60s era finned units. Sometimes you can find exactly what you need from the 100s of resin casters out there...
Expect to pay around $45.00 for a complete, unbuilt '77.

It warms my heart that there are still plastic model car fans out there.
I have been buying and building for almost 23 years. I started when I was 7. I'm not bragging, but I have about 250 to 300 models. I have been competing in contests for the past few years. Here is one of my latest builds. I won a few trophies with it.
i started building models when i was young.... then had to build models in architecture school.... now i build professional models amongst other things....
i used to paint the inside of the windows black so it looks like the car is tinted then i would cut out the inner wheel wells and 'slam' the stance a bit
