The bolt holes in the frame for the fuel line clamps are stripped. Any suggestions on repairing the stripped threads so that original bolts can be used.
If you can get to the backside of the hole, put a large hammer over it and then take a ball peen and smack it. The round ball will cause the hole to shrink a little and you might be able to use your original mount screws. After that, you might be stuck with oversize fasteners.
I’ve always used the welder trick. You only need a tiny bit of weld in there to get the bolt to bite again. You have to carful on this because if you’re like me you don’t want to be grinding off excess welds and have a perfectly smooth mark on your frame. Matching the way the original frame looks is a real PITA if you do get sloppy.
