Can anyone tell me how many 74 454 4 speed cars were built? It'll be a while before mine's ready for prime time (there's SO many pretty cars shown on these pages!), but it would be interesting to know.
Mine was getting a new bumper, then I decided to de-rust and repaint the bumper bracketry, then I decided to fix the lower valence, then I decided that while I'm here, I'd rebuild the light assemblies....
Doesn't make any difference; the information does not exist.
The best you can do for a 74 four speed big block is to regress the numbers in the Corvette Black Book. Your final figure will put you in the ball park, but that will be about as close as you will get unless better information becomes available in the future. Since there were 3494 big block cars and 3494 cars with the M21 four speed, you can pretty much conclude your car had the M21.
Ditto for paint and trim combinations; the numbers are not available.

I think those totals are pure coincidence if they're indeed true. There was no requirement to order M21 with LS4 that I know of, and all the BB 74's I've seen had an M20.

BWTFDIK and stand to be corrected.
OK, add a convertible to the mix/recipe just for fun . As Mike as stated these mix-and-match GM data do not exist. But a 1974 454/four-speed works for me. Wish I had one.
