Default wierd tire problem???

i am doing the brakes and calipers and it's on jackstands and we noticed that the driver side tire on the rear sticks out past the fender about an inch and a half but the other passenger tire is inside the fender wall. you can tell it's off visually like one side has a wide tire and one is normal but the tires are the same size and we looked underneath and see nothing wrong

The car could have been in a collision at some point and the repair wasn't done correctly. Most likely is the rear wheels may not match...one could have a different offset than the other or even two different width wheels.

When the car is on jackstands the wheels are pulled downward by the spring. It would be hard to determine alignment at this point. How are the wheels sitting when the car is sitting normally after driving?

swap the wheels left to right side and see if your wheels are different offsets/widths
