Special ordered my 1980 on my birthday in the fall of 79 and took delivery Jan 2, 1980. I'm closing in on 30 years now. Not the longest in this thread, but it is the longest that I have ever owned any car.

It's the only Corvette I've owned, driven, or ridden in.

I thought for sure it was going to be a play on the guys who put the apostrophe on the wrong side (79') and say, "THIS guy has a 79 foot shark... how long is yours?"

Hi VB,
.... and that's the truth.
I'm the only person who's driven my 71 since the evening I picked it up.
I've lived a VERY sheltered Corvette Life.

Alan

Sorry no prises and actually no surprises either. Interesting to know those that can speak with firsthand knowledge regarding questions and problems that pop up with these Vettes by owning them for more than a few months..... I guess most of you have valuable experience and is another way to say it.......mixed with a little innuendo of sophisticated shark color........

Bought my '69 in Sept, 1973. (Didn't have enough money to go to college at the time, so I bought a Corvette instead. )

This is a tough owner to beat as its the first Shark {1968} and a Feb Vette. And those with 69`s and later could not appear before this Vette.....a impossibility even if purchased new........

ps, for those that wondered, #13092 early March of 68
