Call John if you wish to see how the tops with OEM-style pins and brackets (non-Velcro) are put together. I gave him a set when he bought the 1979. They were in production from about 1980 to 1985.

As for a local company to do covering work, send me an e-mail.

Why? What's the advantage? [not criticizing...just don't understand the benefit over removable T-tops.]

Easier to store behind the seats.

Mine faded to almost white after 2 months. A $5 can of Fabric dye fixed it (for now).
Every time you take it off it will pull some of the velcro off. Use a stronger glue for the velcro.
I used white velcro (after the original came off). I painted the back piece the same color as my vette. I'm going to paint the front piece with chrome paint (one of these days)

Superglue, Tried others, superglue worked best and can be removed with nailpolish remover.

AM -Tops? I love them on my '76. Have not had the stock tops on in about 6 years.
