I have one friend that took his 73 a couple of years ago. He said he sold it there for like 8 times what is was worth. It reminded me of when I worked at a driving range as a kid, Japanese tourists would come in and buy 4 or 5 Callaway Big Bertha drivers at a time to take back and sell because the cost 3 times as much in Japan as they did here.

I sold two Vettes and a Jeep Grand Wagoneer to a Japanese consortium (Rubber Duck) who would come to the States and buy up a few dozen muscle cars and classics at a time to ship back. One of the Vettes I sold to them (1st day production '70 roadster) in now in New Zealand driven by a CF member.
