You carry your "new" frame home like this

I'm just glad I didn't have far to go, about 15 minutes from where the truck dropped it off at work to my house. I def got a lot of stares. My buddies at work and the UPS freight driver even gave me a hard time about it.

I got it from Mark Uptmor in Tx, real good guy to deal with.

I need a bigger truck

I'd-a followed ya ... about 1/4 mile back in case your load escaped!

Glad you got it home safe and sound. How many folks helped to off load from the pickup?

Or, you are really The Hulkster from the WWF and use these things for exercise?

A trailer might have been a better deal. Well it is home safely but that does look quite the redneck way to do it.

It's funny how people were staying way back, I was on pins and needles all the way home. Honestly it wasn't going anywere it was pretty secure.

Four guys help load it off the truck and into mine.....honestly it wasn't that heavy...more awkward than anything. Even though the tag on the pallet said 900 lbs

You would definitely be a redneck if you had brought that home in the back of your '86 Z28 camaro

However, this image conjures up that old mexican picture where the wooden cart has too much stuff in it and the mule is up off the ground

Ok, On the ultimate redneck 4X4 Corvette. Since when is a bubble back window a '76??!! Looks like it was a stolen '80-'82 that was plated with a '76.

....Dude, do ya' think you may have been a smidge over the three foot overhang law?

Trailer rentals are cheap enough, 'cheaper than the fine if you were caught, anyway. Glad you got it home safe and nothing bad happened.

Whatever frame it's sitting on must be a '76.

Back in 1973 I worked at a GM warehouse in Michigan. The Flint assembly plant sent a guy down to pick up some bolts they needed. He drove down about 70 miles in a Nova to pick up what was supposed to be 400 pounds. Turns out the decimal was in the wrong place and it was 4,000 pounds. Didn't bother him a bit. Loaded up the trunk, back seat and everywhere else we could find and sent him on his way.

OK...but Granny and her rocker weren't set inside the body, were they? If not, you're just not a full-blooded redneck.

Tying the rocking chair to the roof of the body would make a better picture. Besides, you aren't a redneck if you tie down your frame or body.

Not going to push this but are you positive this was 4000 lbs. I could maybe buy 1400 pounds but adding 4000 pounds to a Nova thus giving it a total weight of 3 1/2 tons seems to be a stretch. I think that just might of possibly, maybe, almost, perhaps caused some tire rub!!!

Just my opinion!

  • Rednecks buy booze, Hillbillies make their own
  • Rednecks listen to country music, Hillbillies make thier own
  • Rednecks marry someone special, Hillbillies marry their own.
  • Rednecks have multiple teeth, Hillbillies have one (usually brown)
  • A redneck can dress up his yard with an old tire, A Hillbilly don't have no tire.
