Sway Bar Plating?
The sway bars are supposed to be natural steel or semi gloss dipped.
If you had them blasted, I would paint it.
Most of the original 72 cars (mine included) I have looked at through NCRS or otherwise, have all had remnants of black paint on the sway bar.
The natural ones seem to be more prevalent 1970 time frame.
I also think it just depended on what the factory was using. I believe that they came shipped either way, just depended on the manufacturer.

That answers my question, I'll paint them. 69Vette makes a good point on the heat/chemicals as well. I need to break down and buy the NCRS manual. Even though I'm not going that route 100%, it would help me know what the parts are supposed to look like.
