oriellyauto, proliance #433718 HD 4row, $260,
i still need to replace mine too, inexpensive as well.... ive been searching for a while and i found one for 190.00 for my 82, on this site http://www.radiatorswarehouse.com, so this is cheaper than anywhere else i looked, hope this helps
I'm great at spending other people's money, but I just don't think there is alot of wisdom in trying to go on the cheap with a radiator. Go with a Dewitt's and be done with it. You will run cool and be glad you did.
Perhaps let your fingers do the walking. Call your local radiator shops and see what they can do. I am one to support my local shops, or one day they will be gone. Anyways, that's what I do.
What I'm afraid of is the lower outlet nozzle, it was already a bit tough to clear the Upper Control arm when removing it. The radiator has to be almost exact OEM, I'm still using the original fan shroud.
You are exactly right! The lower connector also runs REAL close to the stabilizer bar and if this tube angle is off just a little bit, the tube will hit the bar. Most of (if not all) of the copper replacement radiators are imported and many of them have fit issues.
I understand I we are not the least expensive replacement but we are also not the most expensive aluminum unit either. We will be at Corvettes@Carlisle in a couple weeks and you could save about $100 with show discount and shipping charges.
Rest assured, we know how to make them fit. The term Direct Fit is our trademarket. He is a pdf on our C3 units
I received my DeWitts last week, just waiting for the new seals to finish the job.
Great people to deal with, the radiator is beautiful and the shipping was really quick.
