Threshold orientation?
Stock thresholds have a wide lip and a narrow lip. Which goes inside and which outside? Looks like the wider lip would go inside to cover the carpet edge??
Hard for me to see, but my original pictures seem to show them that way (wide lip towards the inside)
Thanks,
Rob

While I'm asking....is there any caulking (dum-dum) required under the SILL PLATES to help keep water from draining into the interior.
Thanks,
Rob

No sealer under mine on an all original '77. I do have a little rust on the screw threads so I put on a little grease to keep them free. mds...

Hi Rob,
Since the sill plate is INSIDE the door weather strip, NO rain/water is allowed there!!!!
SURE!

Alan

Hi Rob,
If you trial fit the sill plates you will find that the wide side fits quite well over the kick panel whereas if you turn it over the narrow side won't fit at all.

When the old sill plates came out of the 68 there was a tar paper like material under them, was that factory or done after the fact?
