Just got some new pics from the bodyshop today...she is in primer and close to ready for paint! Seams have been glassed and poly filler has been applied as well. Lookin good so far, at least I think so! Here is one pic but the rest can be seen here...
Well I know the owner of the shop so I'm getting a pretty good deal (at least I think so). I'll be looking at about 5k by for his work alone. I did all the prep work by removing all the components (lights, bumper covers, hood, interior, etc.) You can see my progress on my photobucket page and I have posted some other pics from my garage pre-bodyshop here also. Do you guys think that is a reasonable price? He repaired/glassed all seams, filled holes and filled body/blocked it, primed it, and paint is next. -Neal
i just saw the pic of it in grass when u first saw it. wow it has come a long way. looks really good mate. i guess the proof of how good the paint job is....will be down the track in 12 months if anything appears like cracks or bubbles but you have payed what i think will get you a nice paintjob. ppl out there who pay monkeys get peanuts. you must be very excited to have it back and put it together..i would have buds and deckchair ready so i can just sit back and look at it for an hour after the hard work is done.
Thanks gbreadman. I have been working my tail off to get it where it is today. Hard to believe I only picked up the car in May and it is already in paint! Now that it's there though, the days are DRAGGING along! It will be worth the wait though. Plus, it gives me time to clean up the engine and trans I'm putting in it. Spending money is actually FUN now! -Neal
