Default 68 e-brake handle removal

How do you remove the plastic handle on the 68 e-brake lever? I've got the asssembly manual but it's not covered.

Thanks in advance

Bill

If its like the 69, it isn't that hard. First the release button has to be pulled off, once that is removed from the rod, the plastic grip will slide off.

Can't pull off release button. Not a whimp...anymore force would surely break something. I'm guessing the 68 disassembles differently.

Thanks though
