Maybe its late or maybe I'm stupid...both are probably true actually. Have a new headlight switch, looking at the old one that is still installed in the dash. The dash is OUT OF THE CAR. This should be simple, but I cant seem to figure how to remove the old switch, and then put the new one in.
Its a '72, BTW.
Somebody set me straight please.
Thanks,
Rob
NOTE*** Found the little spring loaded release switch to pull out the ****. Got it figured out now.

Release the rod by pressing the button on the light switch. Hang on to the rod, you'll need it. With the rod out of the way, remove the barrel nut. Switch will come out the back.
Something key Mike forgot is the switch **** has to be pulled out to the on position before pushing the release button on the side of the switch (almost 100% sure about this detail). Once pushed the **** comes out. The switch retaining nut is on the dash side of the switch, looks like it is a magnet like material in color. Good Luck.....................B

Hi Rob,
Check to make sure the blue striped vacuum hose goes on the FRONT nipple!!!! Many of the diagrams (AIM) are wrong. WILCOX's are right!

Alan

Thanks Alan, Yea thats how it came off the old one and it worked just fine before. I decided to swap out for a new switch..just because its easier with the dash out. A little preventative maintenance.
