68 Console Crossed Flags?

68 Console Crossed Flags?
I am wondering if the crossed flags emblems on 68 only shift consoles were originally painted colors or not? Does anyone have an original one that has any remnants of paint on it? EVERY one I have ever seen has not been painted, only black with chrome outline........Thanks, john

They were painted John and have recently been repo'd.
Mine is still black with the chrome outline after my re-painting the shifter plate but I plan on trying my hand at painting the flags before buying a repo.

I have one haning on the front display that is an original used and non restored.... Now I'll have to check it, I don't remember. It will be Tuesday before I can look.
