This sticker is on several locations on a C3 roadster i am doing resto work on. Is it indicating repro parts and if so by whom,? they are hot pressed original looking parts, in fact one is under the rear body tub and another on a section of inner fender panel front.
just real curious as i have worked a a few C3s here in Aust and never seen this before...

cheers and thanks

Rockwell was the OEM of the panels, most likely these are original to the car. 36-70 might be the date code, 36th week of 1970.

As it states on the label, the part was made by "North American Rockwell Automotive Parts Division". Rockwell has been a major supplier of OEM parts to the auto industry (and many other industries, such as NASA) for years. I've seen similar labels on original parts (factory installed or GM service replacement) before. What appears to be the GM part number is molded into the part below the label.

I'm not sure about the "36-70" on the label, but it could be a Rockwell part or indentification number, or possibly a date. Is this part installed on a 71, that could mean that the 36-70 was was for a part made the 36th week of 1970 (August 70?). Just a guess.

Darn, Mike beet me to it, I most type to slow!

Rockwell also provided GM with spare tire tubs and leaf springs. The dating convention used was week/year....36th week in the year 1970.
