I know Iam a newbie here but Iam in the middle of a body off on my 69. I am going to get the frame powdercoated next week. My question is should I get it shinny black or satin black. What do you guys think.
Depends on what type of restoration you are doing. Satin or semi-gloss would be closer to what the factory originally applied. Gloss looks nice but unless you have detailed your frame every imperfection and weld splash is going to stand out.
I recently had my frame powder coated (satin) many other parts are semi gloss. Double check that you removed everything from the frame and that you inspect the frame (welds, bolt holes). Now's the time to correct anything.
Sounds good I already patched some rust holes and was wondering if I should completely weld the frame. The factory only has welds about every two inches. But the factory should know what they were doing, Iam not an engineer.
