Have a 77 model and I want to use a radio that is like my 09 Colorado--CD, AM/FM, Satellite. Is there an aftermarket available that will fit in? Also about the Satellite antenna--kind to use etc???
Thanks for any help!!!!
Nope, not that I have seen, the aftermarket expensive radios that will fit these antiquated dashes will not do what you want, not that I have seen, anyway....for one thing there is no room on the dash holes for a CD to push through....
Personally, I would bury a MP3 player chip somewhere in the car,and use a hidden amp/speakers for the sound....
I would give up the CD for a satellite radio connection. I use my Satellite side of my radio more than anything else on my Colorado. Of course an added treat is the 300hp V8 in the Colorado! Like driving the plastic car----
I have a Kenwood CD player in mine. It was in it when I got the car. Mine is also a 77.
Mine looks good. I think some of the Vette parts places sell an after market bezel for the newer stereo systems so you don't have to cut into your original one.

But it is just CD no Satellite? Looks like Satellite makes radio to big for space?
There are plenty of DIN 1 (size of cd/radio players that will fit) head units with sat radio. I have a JVC unit that it sirius ready. All it needs is an antenna and a subscription.
