So I'm working on attaching things under the hood and I have gotten to the Vapor Canister.
It has three connections, Fuel tank, Carburetor, and PCV.
Hooking up the fuel tank and a line to the carb is no big deal, however, the PCV only has the single connection.
I assume the reason for the connection to the carb is as a vacuum source, but what is the reason to the PCV?
Is it necessary, can I just cap it?
The '71 A.I.M. shows the proper hook-up on page 209, Sect. A1. The PCV line runs to a "T" at the PCV valve & from there runs to the front/center fitting at the base of the Q-Jet; the FUEL line runs to the fuel tank (as you have already done); the CARB line runs directly to the front/left fitting at the base of the Q-Jet (purge line).
