Default Radiator advice needed!

I could really use some advice on replacing my radiator. My radiator support is rusted on the bottom and needs to be replaced$$$. I had my radiator pressure tested at a local shop; they repaired a couple of holes and said it held pressure and had good flow. I'm still not sure I trust it. I'm planning on installing a 383 stroker, so should I go with an aluminum radiator for more cooling, and spend the extra bucks, or would an original be adequate? Thanks for your help!

While you have the motor out this is a good time to replace the rusted radiator bracket. Dewitt makes an excellent aluminum radiator, not cheap. The repaired copper radiator will probably work OK for a while. They don't usually blow, just start leaking again.

Default 69 core support

I am not sure if it will fit or if your radiator is same size but I have a 69 core support for the 27" radiator that was in the 69 big block cars. I tried to put this in a 68 but the core support bolts to the frame in 68 and would not fit. I have had the core support bead blasted and I sprayed it with eastwood's chassis black. It had no holes prior to the bead blast but the bead blast did expose a few very small holes in the bottom rail of the core support. I would sell this core support for $200.00. I think this was the largest radiator that they ever put in a C3.

Flyinfree, thanks for the offer, but I think I'll go with a new one.
