I agree. I'm in the market for a gas tank just like that but shipping from overseas and getting thru customs would be the killer. Looks like i'll be farming out the build to a gas tank shop for a few hundred $$ when I can get the funds together. Thats cheaper than buying a Tig capable of doing aluminum. I'd love to do it myself and learn but the cost of materials, tig would be more than having someone else do it. The shame is I wouldn't mind investing in equipment if I'd be able to use it often but how often would i weld aluminum on these cars? not very often.

will a spool gun look as nicely as a tig weld? the spool gun itself isn't very tiny so I have to assume you won't have as much control over your welds as you would with your finger tips when tig welding.

very, very nice! This motivates me some to get mine done. I just have to plumb from the blower to the carb, etc. and some other small items.

What a work of art. Extremely well thought out, everything looks so perfect. What machine and software are you using to make these parts? Good luck on the rear end!!!

Wow! I have not seen an induction system like that since I worked at GM's racing lab. Very cool!

Screw the sleeper factor, go with a 6-71 blower, let them know what you have................saves a lot of time because less people screw with you!!!!

Love the intake and the welds on the gas tank. You're a very talented lad. I have no patience for that kind of attention.

Thanks again everybody.
I have a Storebro combimill cnc milling machine from 1985 with Heidenhain Tnc155 control and a Southwestern Prototrak 1745 cnc lathe.

For construction and 3d programming I use Rhinocad/cam.

You can see some pics of the machines and some of my work at www.fraesarn.se only in swedish but just click on the pics.

The car have been working great all summer but not much racing, it is more fun just driving around.

I am in awe. Digging the unassuming stock look on the outside. Would love to see people's faces when they see this car leave them behind.

Can you tell us how you like the injection setup your using? I'm carb'd for now with my procharged setup....but would like to use injection in future. Most systems are too pricey.....could do lots more for the money instead.

- Autronic sm2 fuel injection
- Autronic 500r CDI with 8 MSD coils waste fire
