Default I'm going back to work

Well I was thinking I might have to sell the vette becasue I lost my job in January. It has been a long 9 months looking on the internet and networking with nothing happening in the job market. I knew if I didn't find something soon it wouldn't look good until February with the holidays starting. I am very grateful for finding this position.

I do feel for otheres still looking, it is tuff, but as hard as it is, you have to keep swinging. You will get a hit, it may not be a home run, but a hit is better than a strike out. The only other advice, is to get yourself as lean as possible. I sold my daily driver and I started using the kids car and eliminated many bills.

Good luck to all and keep the faith

Congratulations!

Yesterday was the one year anniversary of me getting laid off. I was really fortunate to find another job shortly after. Lets hope things start picking back up.

Glad to hear you are back to work. I have toys and have always said there are other toys, the bike and Vette can go away if need be. I am glad you didn't get there, but remember even if you have to sell it, there are others. Good luck in your new position!!

Great news for you and your family. The economy seems to be improving a bit. Let's hope it continues and good luck in your new position. Were you able to stay in your field, or have to do something different.

That's awesome news!! Congrats!! Definetly a huge stress relief!!

I lost my job Feb. 13th this year... and yes thats friday the 13th day before Valentines day, that was a great day to tell the woman.

Thankfully I got unemployment and have been getting by; everyday check for jobs, make calls, and even had a few interviews but no bites yet. However, Nov. 24th I find out if I'll be getting my job back...i'm definetly keeping the faith!!

I'm happy for you, spedaleden. Congrats on getting back in the game; sorry it has to be at the bottom but at least you can restart without losing too much more.

Good luck to you and here's hoping for a better tomorrow, for each of us.

Hi S,
I'm glad you found work!!
I'll bet you're sleeping better.
I have a very small architectural practice. For a year I was paying myself 1/2 salary. Now I'm paying myself every other week. I'm glad to have even a little work. I'm hoping things will improve in the spring.
Good Luck!!!!
Regards,
Alan
