Default Replacing dog leg bushing??

Anything special about replacing the rubber donut cushion on the forward rear end mount? (74 model) Referred to as a dog leg, I think? Never done this one....just curious!

Thanks for any info or experience.........

IIRC, remove the driveshaft (be sure & note front-to-back orientation) to access the nut on top side of nose mount. Unless yours is a garage queen, there will be lots of dirt and small stones hiding in that cup area so be prepared for a dirt bath. Safety glasses not a bad idea.

If the mount is OEM, there is a steel sleeve through the rubber donut and large dia., fender-like washers, top and bottom, along with split lockwasher and nut on bolt.

All of this disassembly assumes the rear has the tires off the ground and car is secured with jack-stands. Once bolt is removed, carefully separate "dog-leg" (diff front mount) from frame to remove rubber bushing.

Replace in opposite order. Check AIM for your year as preferred guide before beginning.
