Default Instrument gauge cluster

I have a twofold question, pertaining to the 68-69 inner instrument gauge cluster.
1.) Does anyone have a contact to obtain the correct greenish-blueish paint applied to this area?
2.) Does anyone know the actual painting process done at the factory for this area.
I know I can paint it any color I want and all that, I was just trying to make it as correct as possible.

Thanks

Rob

Are you speaking of the internal 'backing plate' which is painted a "robin's egg blue" color? (my term, not the official color) It was painted blue to tone-down the incandescent bulbs (which burn yellow). I think any color of pastel blue will get the job done. But someone will come up with the correct NCRS paint color description.

Not necessary. The area doesn't show with the instruments installed in the bezel and isn't judged.

Thanks for the comments, however I know it is not judged and not seen; so if there is somebody out there that has purchased this paint somewhere I would be very interested in knowing where. For this reason I feel it is necessary. Thanks in advanced

Are you serious...the NCRS actually lets something go unchecked?

I saw a grown man cry one year when a mark on his frame wasn't correct.

I wasn't referring to the car being judged by NCRS, EasyMike; I just figured that they would know the exact brand/formula definition for what was used to paint that item.

I agree, I am sure some compainies have reproduced it, it's just are they willing to sell it or just use it in there gauge restroration service. If nothing pans out here I will try over on the NCRS board. thanks for the feedback.
