Which is better for corvette parts for C2 and C3? Ecklers or Corvette Central?

Most all of the Catalog Companies are selling the same parts collected from different suppliers anyway. License for certain repro parts is held by certain companies and they are all selling the same stuff a lot of times.

I went with Zip Corvette for the running 10% discount for one full year after a 2K initial purchase.

Also don't ignore Willcox Corvette here on the board..... unlike the other companies he'll help you understand "what and why" the parts do what they do.

I got a catalog from Ecklers, Zip, Corvette Central, Corvette America, and Mid-America
Armed with those 5 catalogs you can shop and compare. But don't forget Willcox, he's a supporting vender of this forum and really knows his stuff. - check out the link to his web site.

I've done the same, and have been buying most from Corvette Central with no problems. I'm going to start sending business to Willcox though, because their prices are competitive, they have good info as above, and are a Supporting Vendor of the Forum. Willcox, if you're reading this, be watching for my next order!!

Never a problem using CC or Zip for that matter. FWIW, in my recent and limited experience with Ecklers, I think their prices are now more in line with the others. I've used them recently with no issues.

Hi - I would recommend Willcox Corvette As Well. I have been undergoing a big restoration project on my 1978 corvette and the Guys at Willcox have helped me immensely! They have given me very competitive Pricing - but above that - they love what they do and help in every way they can. I have worked with Tommy and Norm there on several projects and I just can't say enough about these two guys. They love Corvettes just like we do and they have tremendous Experience. Give them a try - you won't be unhappy.

http://www.willcoxcorvette.com/

You can give them a call or work with them online... both work just fine.

Anyway - good luck

Cheers ~ Joe

Wilcox prices are competitive. They seem to ship alot of parts from cc but are a little cheaper

but do a search on those tough problems, gages, electrical issues, ect here in forum. Wilcox always posting very helpful tech advice make them my first choice.

H C,
I like ZIP Products.
I think Willcox is really worth checking out because of good prices and their visibility and help on this Board.
For 63-67 parts you should really consider Long Island Corvette Supply.
Regards,
Alan

They all have their good and bad times. I mean all of them. I have ordered from the whole batch over 20 years. They ebb and flow. As said earlier they drop-shift left and right. So most are re-sellers. No problem: that's the way it is.

But in terms of communications on difficulties I rank Willcox #1 . They will guide you away from Chinese products that do not fit. Or offer you that option if that is what you want. I don't like products that do not fit and choose the pricier version. A few years ago I was just throwing away repro parts out of frustration. These vendors know the scene and will not jerk you around.

I use Ecklers, Corvette Central, Zip, Wilcox, and Paragon.

Every vendor has certain parts that others don't, but all need a website upgrade. Everyones' catalog seems way better than their websites.

I almost think some websites are programmed by the same people.

Corvette Central is a higher level I think. I'm a rookie "C3Vetter" I only ordered parts from CC yet. I thought about Ecklers because of their competitive prices, but too many buds told me not to buy from them - poor quality and customer service. As I see forum members share this.

I'm outside of the US, I need a trustable vendor. I can't just give a call and send back parts overseas...
I'm a faithful type, if everything is ok with the CC why should I buy from another vendor? Just to save a few dolls? Too risky for me.

I have used Eckler's Mid America and Corvette Central. They are all good. Get catalogs from each and compare what you need and prices. I do probably use Eckler's more then the others though.

I have been buying from Ecklers for 35 years. I have had very few problems. I have used CC several times in the last few years, and it has mostly been very good. I was shocked when I ordered a rear spring from CC recently, and found it marked Made In India when I opened the box!

What was the quality of the Made in India product like?
