Default 1969 Dash Braces

I see in the '69 AIM there are dash braces... J-60 and J-327. Are these for convertibles only... or for coupes as well??? Any way to identify these? thanks

I don't have a 69 AIM to see J 60 and J327 but convertibles do have extra bracing.

I don't have the 1969 AIM but here is one on my 1974. I do believe they were for convertibles only to brace the reduced birdcage.

Well a 68/68 also has a aluminum dash brace under the dash. They no longer used these in 70. The conv. cars had addition bracing from the trans tunnel to the outs of the birdcage.

Check the title block on the AIM page and see if it specifies coupe or convertible. It might say 19467 or 19437.

OK - I will check when I get home tonight... I did look for something noting convertibles only, etc in the title - but I had scribbled some notes as I thought only verts came with the bracing. But then I saw some other bracings and thought well maybe my coupe had at least some of them.. I just can't remember.

Rog - that pic is great - it helps me kinda know what goes where and maybe plan the 'layering' (what to put in first!) It as been wayyy too long since I removed the interior. Got any more????

hmmm - it does say 19467 in MOD area in title block. I never noticed that before (learned something).... and I checked for example the decklid vs. a coupe and it showed the same .... 19467 and 19437 respectively

Tells you what is shown on that AIM page applies to only convertibles or only to coupes as the case may be. No specific model designation means what is shown on the AIM page applies to all cars regardless of coupe or convertible.
