I mostly just cruise, but when I put the new engine and tranny in I do love to hear her go through the gears. I do drive more spiritedly now. I have always enjoyed drag racing, even more so now. (not on the street) These cars are meant to be driven not trailered.
I just like cruising around town. WOT once in a while, when it's safe and clear of course.
My cars are pretty much original BUT there are "areas" where we can put the pedal to the metal. Safety it paramount - a lot of residential where I generally travel lower than the posted speed limit. BUT, when the time and place are appropriate - I am banging gears, power shifting and burning rubber with a big grin on my face.
Don't 1/4 mile or Auto Cross - just cruzin until I get the opportunity!
spirited driving for me. Mine is in nice cruise night condition and has won a trophy at a small local show. I can't help opening up the secondaries at least once every time I take it out, that's why I bought it. I love listening to my modified engine coming up through the gears though headers and flowmasters. If I'm really feeling punchy, I'll stand on it like there's no tomorrow and try to chirp the tires with every shift of the 4 spd.
Now you're talkin'. That's my "happy place" I go to when things get too tense around me. I also believe redlines were made to be used. Is that bad of me?
