Whatever your preference. Sandblasting is common and can be done by the do-it-yourselfer. Dipping requires a location with the necessary tanks and compounds, but can clean the inside of the frame where sandblasting cannot reach.
Hi Rex,
The comment I hear about dipping the frame is that the inside gets stripped too, so it needs to coated completely with some kind of protection as thoroughly as the outside.

Shop doing my work would normally dip them but I found this NOS frame that was someones unfinished project- it was bought from GM and sat for 20 plus years in his garage-
After adding new components put it under the 1972 as is- never even touched up the paint-
