I can make it anytime during the afternoon this Sunday Raj. Better if you come up then also. It'll take more than one person to wade through that mess to get the info your friend will need to make an informed desicion
Yeah, my 68 was as bad if not worse (rust issues), but at least it was in a barn, kept company with lots of furry critters

Sounds like a plan. I'll call the seller and let him know that we'll be going to see the car on Sunday.
* It has a Georgia title. The car was brought to CA about 20 years ago and never registered in CA (not sure what that entails).
Well whatever you do dont tell the CA DMV that its been sitting around in CA unregistered for 20 years..they might feel inclined to go after 20 years of back non-op registration + penalties (not pretty)
bringing in a non-op car from georgia would probably be ok...though there is the chance they might still want to see a current georgia reg.
Probably your best bet is to call a dmv office and make subtle inquiries
If the front end wasn't painted when installed then it also prob wasn't put on by a professional either. I would look close at frame damage in the front. Gotta be a reason the put the front clip on. The car might have a salvage title and been attempted to be repaired by the owner. He may have gave up on the idea. If it has a salvage title it will never be worth top money. Most people will knock 10k off the value if not more. Be careful with that one. It does have nice features like someone said, chrome, a/c and being a vert. If it has had water damage like it looks I don't think it would be worth it. Let us know how it looks. Good luck
My friend did not want to buy the car, so I decided to look into the car for myself. Randy and I drove up there and checked the car out.
Contrary to what I thought, the owner said that he is pretty firm on the price. I decided to pass on the car because, the front end seemed to be replaced and the workmanship was less than average. The pass side door was not closing right. It needed more body work than what I am ready fro at this point.
We were not able to inspect the frame and the trans because he had too much stuff around the car making it impossible to see the whole car. It was also difficult to determine what goes with the car because he had not had all the parts in one place.
The owner seemed to be a really nice guy. Just in case any of you are interested, give him a holler.
