Default Alternator bracket with block huggers

I'm installing a set of stainless block huggers from Summit on my 68 and was wondering what is the best setup for the alternator brackets. Does anyone make one that doesn't interfere with the headers? Any pictures?

Standard header bracket. Most go on the driver's side. I had this one reinforced by having the verticle 1/4" bar welded on.

The alternator then goes on a second bracket that slides along the first shown. It slides forward/rearward to align the belt.

Thanks, I will look into that one. I think I saw those in Summit or Jeg's

If the heads you are using have the accessory bolt holes, you can use a stock bracket from a later Vette. I think they started using these in '70 if I recall

Thanks everyone, I just ordered a nice three piece set on ebay for a total of $25.98 with shipping. It comes with a nice custom chrome upper arm also. It looks like it is made by Mr. Gasket.

If you don't have accessory holes in the heads, not a lot.

You may be able to use the lower mounts on the block that are typically used for the power steering pump. This may or may not clear the A-arm and/or require the use of the long water pump..., but maybe not.

I beefed mine up with the welded piece of the header bracket and by using two J-bars, one on each side of the alternator. The two bars are "tied" together at four points with aluminum disks greatly stiffening the assembly.
