Hi. I am new to this forum but not new to the Corvette family. I purchased my 69 Vette back in 1979 and still own it today. It has gone through many changes in the many years I own it. Recently I decided to try to get it back to its original condition as possible. My problem is this: I gave it to a friend of mine who has a body shop and he did a body off restoration and now there are a lot of little things that don't work, weather stripping that leaks, certain lights, horns, fiber optics, etc.... I am looking for someone close to my location that I can trust and knows the inside and outs of this car to fix my minor problems and whatever problems arise in the future. I used to do most of the work on my car myself but as I got older I don't have the time or patience to it anymore. I live in Howard Beach NY. Thanks,
Paul.
I am assuming you paid the friend for the restoration. Why not take the car back to him and have him repair the items the shop missed the first time around?
I did pay him for the labor and I bought all the parts but he did not really charge me all that much so I really don't want to ask too much. He will fix anything I bring to him but it will sit in the back of the shop until he gets around to it. It would just be beneficial to me to just take it someone else to get the stuff done.
