Most educated buyers know that color is not waaaay down the list of what's important.
I agree. Color is a big deal on all classic cars. Certain colors bring premiums, and certain colors bring discounts.
Earth tones don't bring premiums on vettes, but if it's what you like, you can enjoy a discounted price. Just remember that it might be harder to sell on the backside.

I've been wrestling with trying to figure out what color to paint my '69 (I started a thread about it) when the time comes (hopefully later this year), and I agree. The earth tones are too subdued IMO, and I assume that most C3 owners want their cars to stand out a bit (especially at car shows). Not just from a value standpoint, but I don't think most classic car owners want their cars to blend in with everything else. Drive through the redwood forest (or similar) and the car may just disappear from view!
And speaking of earth tones - My car was originally Riverside Gold, and was repainted Lemans Blue by the previous owner many years ago. I like the existing color, but I think I'm pretty settled on Sunflower Yellow at this point, because I really don't want to be just another one in the sea of blue, red, and white Corvettes that blends in with the others.

I agree with Mike... I think the Bronze could be described as somewhat "polarizing" as compared to the "safe" colors like blue or red. Some people will likely love it; others not at all.
Personally, if I were considering the car to be used as an eventual trade on another car, I'd be less interested in a color that did not appeal to a wider audience like the safe colors.
I don’t understand when owners say a certain color is rare ..it is because when purchased nobody wanted that color.. So why would anybody want that color now🤷♂️
