Ignition Key
The 80 c3 that I have traded for and going to rebuild had no key for the ignition switch you just turned the switch itself to start the car, I bought a new switch to install with keys, everything went perfect installing but the switch when installed likes about 1/8 of inch turning back far enough to release the key, in other words the car starts, turns off everything except you cannot remove the key. Any idea's I even thought it might be a bad switch so went and got another one same thing. Out of idea's I have taken the switch in and out so many times I can almost whistle and it reinstalls.

I agree you need to adjust the actual switch, the lock cylinder is attached to a rod,
down the top of the column and connects to the actual switch,
it is held in place by 2 screws and the mounting holes are slotted to allow
for proper adjustment.
