"Did your corvette come from mainland europe? possibly belgium? Laws there dictate that you should either be able to see the level through a semi transparent reservoir, have a level switch or add sight plugs to be able to see the level. This is what they do to a std. MC to get the car through a SVA type test"
There's plenty of members here from Europe, betcha not one of them has had to do this.
Im actually talking a bout the peepholes on the cylinder, if that went and i lost all liquid in the cylinder would i loose all breaking power or would i still have a bit of something for a while?
Hi Carlos. Nice master cylinder with a view. Whats the old saying POSH?
Anyway this is what I learned today cause my M/C is leaking and I'll have to replace it as well.
The master cylinder has two separate reserviors. The front reservior is for the front set of brake and the rear reservior is for the rear set of brakes. This is a fail safe system so if the rear brakes go out then you'll be able to still use the front brakes with a controled stop.
Now the chances of both of those site glasses ruptering or braking at the same time have two chances, slim and none.
Good luck & Cheers.
