Anyone have pix of a '69ish firewall with no A/C installed. Seriously considering taking mine out. Never used it (because it never worked) always had the tops off anyway. Just wondering what it'll look like so maybe i can fab a glass blockoff. thanks in advance.
Here's a link to the body off start...
Are you looking for a pic of a standard non-A/C firewall or something else? I have a 71' w/o AC and can snap a pic (the engine is out so it will give full view).
Hi Mike,
Yes, it's on the passenger's side trans tunnel (interior) and on the build sheet, too.
The build sheet has the 186 and also 89 which are the last 2 digits of the VIN.
It's nice when things are pretty much where we think they should be.
Regards,
Alan
Thanks for the help, here's where i am now. filling in the 'extra' holes collected along the years (man that a/c looks like a biiiig hole)... Need some sanding and paint next...
Hi All,
I just looked at the thread again. I hadn't noticed the day's date till Paul mentioned it. COOL!!!!
The piece of information I've thought interesting is that the cylinder case for this car was cast on December 31, twilight shift.... They were working New Year's Eve!
Did the foundries work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if the blast furnace was 'on'?
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!
Regards,
Alan
Hi MR69,
Well!!! That certainly looks like it turned out smooth!
Keep the progress pictures coming, it's great to see what people are doing.

Alan
