Default Need help finding a scale model.

I am trying to find a scale model of my car. If anyone could give me a lead to a brown, '79 model car, I'd greatly appreciate it. I haven't had any luck.

Working doors or lights would be nice too

Thanks for any help!

Carl

You might have some luck finding a 1:18 scale diecast of a '78 Pace Car, they were produced as this was a very popular car. Repainting would of course be necessary. I do not think you will find an exact prefinished replica of your car. There is also a line of plastic Vette kits by MPC in 1/20 scale, you do the building. mds...

Try this one;

You do know you can paint it whatever color you want, right?

I really doubt you will find a brown model? Red, Black maybe. Like previously posted get a Pace Car and paint it will e your best bet! Luckily since I have a Pace Car it is not a problem, I have almost every size made.

Try posting that at "Die-cast and Collectibles" section on this forum

Thanks for the replies guys.

I've got my hobbies, but painting little cars isn't one of them. I'd rather pay to have one already done that looks good. But seeing as brown is a bit rare I guess I won't hold my breath just yet.

And thanks I didn't realize there was a die casts and collectibles forum, I'll see if they may be able to help out as well.

FWIW, these guys have all kinds of die cast Corvettes, and show a 1/18th scale '78 non-pc model...

CarlR...
You shouldn't be looking for a brown '79 model of your car; you should be searching for someone who does modeling work and will paint a Pace Car model for you. I have never seen a brown C3 model and don't believe that one exists (unless it has been re-painted). Find someone who will paint a very similar late 70's C3 model for you.

I repainted this shelf to match my 69 Daytona Yellow. These are only available in Red(of course), no offense to you Red lovers...LOL!

Find your year, or close, on EBay, and give it a try!

Franklin Mint sells a 1:24 scale 79' Vette (Red of course). There are companies out there that will then custom paint your diecast any color you want. Go to a Die cast car site (forum) and you'll find what you need I'm sure.
