Default Tracking down first car?

Has anyone here sucessfully tracked down the first car you ever owned, or a special car you once owned and regret having ever sold it? I contacted my state DMV (NJ)and they will not disclose current ownership records of any vehical. Any Ideas?

I found my old car, or it's current owner found me. Here is a post about it, as I was trying to buy it back. I listed that I was searching for it on several lost car and Corvette sites.

Wow that was quite a story.
If I did find my original car I might be faced with the same situation you were in. It would just be nice to know what happened to it but maybe the memories are just better left as memories. Thanks for the responce. I might as well leave well enough alone and just find a simalar car.

Don't give up, chances are it is still out there. However, you may not be able to get it back or it may be nothing like it was.

My first car was a 54 Belair that I paid $25.00 for. I think it was used in the rims of my last car.

The 70 Corvette was actually my third car. My first car was a 1953 Hudson Hornet Convertible. I know where it is and have been in touch with the current owner.

My second car was a 1969 GTO. I also know where it is also. It is great that all three cars are still around and restored!
