Heater probs

Hello,
First time Vette owner here - just bought a 73 coupe (350sb, auto, Ttop). Looking FW to learning as much as I can about these great cars.

Im having trouble getting the heater to blow hot air though, and was hoping someone could help with some trouble-shooting suggestions. The blower works (at dif. speeds) and the condenser also appears to work (you can hear the "hiss" as you roll down the dial).

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Check for the possibility the hot water shut off valve could be stuck closed. The hiss you hear could be a vacuum leak on the AC/heat controls.

the first place i would look is to make sure the heater hoses are still hooked up as they should be, the ac water cut off valve is normally open and held shut with vaccum.
