Default J58S103569 Build date?

Can you tell the build date off this VIN? If not where can you find this info?

Thanks

Also, have a FI in the trunk, Serial Number 2153 Model No. 7014900R. The block is in someone else's garage, I know it has a casting number last 4 digits 6519, I could not read the built date and I didnt check the ID tag. I will go back and check later.
What should I look for if this is a real Fuelie car. the heads are 3890462 F208

Looks like the last week of Jan., 1958

J58S103677 was the last vette built in Jan. of '58.
They built apx. 46 cars per working dat that month, 3560 is 108 cars short of the last one built in Jan., so it was likely built Wednesday, Jan. 29 in late in the day.

Since you posted this in the C3 section I assumed we were researching a C3....Please beg pardon of my ignorance. You may have better luck in the C1 section of the forum.

I can give you this much....

Looks like the block is right. My black book shows 3737739 or 3756519 for all '58s. And the fuel # shows it as a 283/290 hp unit.....

The year (last number) casting dates on the block appear to be either 6 or 8. If a 6, too early for the '58 (don't think the 519 block was made that early anyway).
If 8, then both the heads and block are way late for this serial number.
Car was built in Jan 1958, but date on heads "F" (June), and block "D" (April).
block has been decked also.

If you're in to C1s, you will want Noland Adams' book, The Corvette Restoration Guide Volume I He answers your VIN time/build questions, plus the codes/dates on the early FI units. Pricey, but worth the cost.
