). But I could be wrong....Suggestions of what to see depends on your preferences
Heidelberg and Munich are both great cities for sight seeing, for drinking and eating and also to explore the surrounding areas (Heidelberg: the Neckar valley and Odenwald, Munich is close to the Alps). Near Heidelberg (about 20 miles away, highway) is a famous car and technology museum (http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/) which is worth a visit. But you should take your snow boots and warm clothes with you, we have much snow currently (but weather forecast promise a bit warmer weather and rain next week).

Oh, if you go north of Munich, there's the famous Nuremberg Ring. That's the famous racetrack GM runs vette prototypes on (as do others). Heidleberg is nice, but limit your time.
So many great sites. Berg Eltz is my wife's favorite castle becuase of it's setting:

http://www.burg-eltz.de/
If you're going north to former East Germany, there's the Trabant museum which I thought was kinda cool. Don't remember the town off top of my head but it's somewhere in the Dresden area. I could go on and on...
Lots of great places, so little time ...
Note: If it were me, I'd open up a Euro's bank account with Deutche Bank so you can have a foreign bank account (just in case). It's legit, you can xfer $$ on line and you get a 1099 for taxes ...good security just in case...
Do some online research. Hard to do remotely, easy to do at the bank. Do the first day in case you need to circle back later on to finalize things.
