Default Seat Belts?

I remember a thread about using Camaro seat belts in a C-3. Does anyone know what year car I need to look for to replace the belts in my 73. Thanks Skip

93-02 Camaro or Firebird. You need the rear belts from a coupe, not a convertible IIRC.

This is something I'm probably going to have to do with my Vette since the seat belts aren't functioning properly.

I have them in my car and like them very well.

Does anyone know someone who has crashed a car with these in a C3? I am just a bit wary of moving seatbelts from another car. Not so much worried about the lap belts, just wondering about the shoulder part.

I will add that you can re-color any belts you find to any color you want...and the buckle cover, too, if it is plastic. Use SEM "Color Coat" with a gas/bottle sprayer {inexpensive}. Just pull the belt out all the way, mask off any metal you don't want colored, and spray away. Don't apply heavy coats...use 2 or 3 lighter coats to cover. The belt material should be cleaned and dried well before dyeing it.

I may try a set of these to replace my original lap/shoulder combo. Will post results this summer when I get a chance.

I went the Camaro route and love them. I do have a resto mod so original was not important to me. One thing to note though if you are a heafty man they may not be for you. I am 6’ 220 lb and if I had much more girth they would be to tight around my chest.
Oh as stated before 93 to 02 coupes are what you want, Camaro or firebird.
Here are some pics of them installed

Speaking of seat belts, is there a good way to keep them from getting caught behind the seats when you close the door? Other than checking every time (it gets annoying!)

If the retractor is working properly, there shouldn't be any problem. They should reel back in before the door gets closed.
