I had a long talk with the shop that did the coating on mine the other day. They said pretty much what was said above, aluminum polish is the polish of choice. They also said you could use 0000 steel wool. On top of that, mine have some stains from a leaky power steering hose, and they said to try laquer thinner on it, or carb cleaner or even Gunk engine cleaner, but specifially NOT purple cleaner.

BTW, I tried Mother's aluminum polish on mine today and it made a noticeable improvement on the spot I tried. I also tried 0000 steel wool up near the flange and again, noticeable improvement. I will take the headers off after getting back from the Run To The Sun car show in Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks and go over them thorougly.
