Default help with seats please!

i know there are prolly a bunch of threads already on hereabout seats, but i wanted to make one spec. to me so i dont wast countless hours wandering aimlessly. ok i would like to know what other seats have you managed to fit in your c3's. i want something in a reasonable price range that does not raise the driver position too much (dont wanna be sticking out the t-top). i am willing to mod if i have to, but it would be great if i didnt. thanx in advance, Chase.

I've seen people fit everything from C4 and up to Fiero seats. Pretty much anything in that range should work, and look right. Personally, I like em the way they are!!!

I have to say, I've always thought the Fiero seats look great in our cars, but my stock 79 seats are also fine by me, so I have no plans to change them.

Just got mine installed a few days ago.

$468.23 shipped from one side of the US to the other. I am 6'1 and while I could fit under the t-top liners with the universal tracks on it, it was close. I decided to just mount them directly to the floor pan. Had to drill 3 new holes for each, then put a length of 1/8" steel under the floor pan w/the same holes and bolted to that.

I love them and they really make the interior look a lot more modern.

i would go that route, but im 6' and my girls 5', if i ever need her to drive it for some reason ill be screwed. thats why im wondering about the fiero seats and what tracks. the only real prob with aftermarket seats is that the stocks sat so low. thanks for the input and the pic. 0i may have to end up goin that way.

I am 6' 1" and the Fiero seat raise things up about an inch or so, I cant really use the t top insert pads but I fit fine without them, thinkin about getting glass tops so it wont matter.

I have Recaro's in the '74 I bought on Saturday. I can't give any of the details because they were in it when I bought it but here are the two pictures my daughter-in-law took on Saturday.

Those look very comfortable and supportive. Now, if they only came in Oyster for my 1980 interior, I would be tempted to switch.

Look here for info on using your stock 79 seat slider tracks on Fiero seats:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...-brackets.html

Found my Fiero seats on ebay. About $300 delivered and in great shape. My post with photos in the above thread details how I did the install. Just finished recovering with MrMikes leathers and they really look great.

Good luck!
Jerry
