You'll find these specs in UPC 1 section C of the AIM...

Hi 69,
I looked too and see the pages of drawings and dimensions for many cross-sections cut through the birdcage, but not any 'location' checking dimensions.
Ernie... do you have something we dont?
Regards,
Alan

Alan-

I'll have to check this.. I thought that section covered the dimensions on the bird cage.

Alan and Rag-

Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing? The pages from C1 through C10 in the 69 aim will cover just about every dimension in the bird cage. It's not an easy read and you have to flip between pages to compare the marked dimension to the actual working diagram.

The A pillar dimension on coupe and convertible are the same.

Hi Ernie,
I see the sheets you're referring to.
I kinda THINK 69r is looking for dimensions to determine if the birdcage he's put back together is 'racked', 'twisted', etc. The sort of dimensions a frame shop uses to straighten and check a frame.
I've not seen anything like that for the birdcage.
??????

Alan

I have a frame chart for 69-73 that has the body mount dimensions shown. I can get the info posted some time tonight (If I remember).

From 1969-74 Frame Dimension Chart

Front (#1) Body Mount = 54-1/4" across
A Post (#2) Body Mount = 52-1/2" across
B Post (#3) Body Mount = 53" across
Rear (#4) Body Mount = 48-1/4" across
#2 to #3 = 41"

Check that LF #2 to RR #3 = RF #2 to LR #3. This will assure that everything is square.

Hi 69,
Now I'm confused.
I thought you were looking for birdcage dimensions such as from lock pillar to lock pillar or hinge bolt hole to door strike hole, so you could check the cage.
Sorry I misunderstood all this time.
Regards,
Alan

yes Allen I do need those too,but this will tell me the distances between the cage mount holes for the width.I did some measuring today and found that I have w/s frame rake the same but I believe I have about 1 inch out on my front to rear as far as being square.I did mount the front holes of the cage to the frame and centered it with a steal bushing so I may also have racked frame?this car did take a hit in the left front.
