Ran across an interesting link...
One is the 1963 Corvair Monza GT and the 1968 Astro II
Real interesting pics...see if you can figure out where the C3 and C5 Corvettes came from....

If I remember correctly, DeLorean wanted to build the Banshee when he headed up Pontiac. Either Chevrolet or GM upper management said no. They were afraid it would hurt Corvette sales.
I saw the Monza when I was a kid. Chevrolet had some sort of touring show that included new cars and some show cars. It was at a local mall and they had a drawing to win a go cart with a fiberglass body on it that looked like the Monza. I still have the ticket around somewhere, but I didn't win the go cart, darn!

they also made an oldsmobile that looks like 53-55 vette another cool car that never made it because challenged the corvette.btw you are absolutley right on the banshee. oh the olds was recently found in junkyard.

Great pictures Bruiser....I'd love to make it to one of those shows! Getting me away from there might be a problem however...
I noticed there's not much room under the hood of the banshee...might have to improvise a little.
That would have been a cool car if they had built it.
