Finally somebody that realizes the facts.

Stripping off the stock parts and screwing up your car for little or no HP is a waste of time and money......millions of cars have been screwed up for a few more HP .

A better exhaust , REAL DUAL pipes and mufflers would help , but I hate cheapo headers in a nice car.... its hot enought under a corvettes hood.

You probally have an auto matic . The L-82 really needs a manuel transmission to perform in the high RPM range. The auto trans for that year is not performance , to fix it would cost more than a four speed. I would put a manuel trans in and if you want a serious boost of power worth the effort , then put a proven turbo turbo kit on .

Shame the L-82 was robbed of a manuel transmission that year.

80 L-82 is a cool car . Good luck
