Default Need Wiring Help! Please!

Ive had this apart for way too long so its time to get it sarted!

Its a 71 LT-1 but the TI has been replaced with a standard points setup (TI will get installed another day)

I replaced the engine wiring harness and the dash harness.

The last wire I cant place is the RED wire that comes from the dash harness thru the firewall gromet that also contains the oil pressure line.

Its a heavier guage red wire and i can't seem to find any place to put it. I believe it goes to the TI setup and not used in a points setup but not sure.

I can uplaod a picture in a few.

Thank,
Ron

Is it the one that would go to the large bottom connector of the horn relay, that is on the left fender, just behind the wheel well? Just a guess.

Hi,
From what I can find there are 3 wires that may come though that grommet. The wirering for the LT-! option isn't shown in the AIM.
The back-up light connection, all cars.
A wire when the M-40 Auto is an option.
A wire that runs to the hood switch for the alarm option.
Thats all I see.
Regards,
Alan

I believe all the wires for the horn relay are in the foward lamp harness except for 1 heavy wire from the engine harness. I guess your wire is supposed to be headed forward to the TI amplifier.
